Karen Teicher Memorial Nursing Scholarship

“Karen Teicher graduated from Hocking College’s School of Nursing in December of 1976. Karen loved nursing and would have been proud to help others to meet their goal of becoming a nurse. As an emergency room nurse at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens and a friend to many, she was known for her humor, kindness, and generosity. Karen died of breast cancer in 1995. Her family established the Karen Teicher Nursing Fund in memory of her spirit and dedication to the nursing profession.
Two second year nursing students will be selected for this award in the amout of $10,000 each. The recipient must demonstrate financial need, prove the money requested will help avoid a disruption in their education, and how the scholarship will help continue your education. Scholarship funds can be used to pay the costs of tuition, fees, and books. Student must be registered for classes at the time of review and enrolled full-time for the terms the scholarship will be awarded.
